Programs
The African American Christian
Foundation, Inc. is a community based nonprofit organization founded
in 1985. AACF offers vital support services to the community under
the following umbrellas: The AACF Computer Learning Center,
Employment Services and Youth Services.
The AACF
Computer Learning Center trains clients in a wide
array of computer applications using state of the art equipment and
software. The Center is accredited by Illinois State Board of
Education.
Employment Services
provides job readiness skills training, vocational training,
guidance and support throughout all phases of the employment
process for adults and youths 14 years of age or older.
Youth Services
provides programs that offer a safe and enjoyable learning
environment for youths in our community to work, obtain life skills
and succeed academically. We provide Supplemental Educational
Services (SES) after school in our office and at local schools.
Energy Assistance applications are available to those who
are in need of assistance. AACF is a LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy
Assistance Program) intake site. The program is administered by CEDA,
assisting low income residents pay their utility bills. |
